Instructeur North Sea Watersports
G´day, Servus, Moin. Let me introduce myself. My Name is Max and 21 years old. I was born and raised in Braunschweig, Germany. Back on 2014 I was firstly introduced to a rapidly growing nature driven sport by a friend. Since this day I was straight away hooked and my whole life started to be focused on the destiny to find as much wind as possible. It didn’t matter how cold it was or windy it was. I needed to go on the water. Back where I grew up in Germany there was only a small lake around 60 km away with an extreme small kite area extremely gusty winds. But for me, it all didn’t matter because I was addicted and couldn’t resist the feeling of kitesurfing. Luckily, my two brothers and I managed to get our parents hooked as well. Since then, every holiday, every long weekend, every available day was dedicated to kitesurfing and the search for wind. The big decisions in my young life were heavily influenced by Kitesurfing. The call to go with 15 to Cape Town, South Africa for a year as an exchange student or the decision to study in Amsterdam Business Administration. Next to the influence on the big decisions, kitesurfing gave me the chance to meet new people and feel welcome around the world due to the common love for the sport that many people around the world share. Kitesurfing guided my life for the last 7 years and I for sure don’t regret anything that kitesurfing did for me over this period.
Teaching is already for quite a while a key part of my life and my family’s life. My parents introduced my early to the Alpine ski sport, which finalized to my qualification as a Ski instructor in 2016. Since I am currently living in Amsterdam and the Mountains are pretty far away, and I still had the urge to teach I decided to get my IKO Instructor licence in Spring 2020. Since this day I worked full time the 2020 season for North Sea Watersports.
